Wat onderscheidt jou van anderen in het Spinozaplantsoen?
Ik ben afkomstig uit Tsjaad en heb een opvoeding gehad waarbij ik geleerd heb me aan alle situaties aan te kunnen passen. Het Spinozaplantsoen is de eerste plaats waar ik kwam te wonen toen ik uit Afrika kwam. Het is hier kalm en niet te blank. Maar wat me opviel was dat de buren elkaar geen goedendag wensten. Dit is vreemd als je uit Afrika komt, waar de buren zeer bij elkaar betrokken zijn, je leeft daar werkelijk in solidariteit met elkaar.
Wat heb je met kunst en cultuur?
Door het maken van kunst kan ik iets van mezelf uiten wat ik niet kan met mijn mond. Het is een gevoel en iets wat ik zie. Een soort 4e dimensie, je zit erin als je het voelt en voor je ziet. Ik zie bijvoorbeeld een lichte, mooie stof, zie voor me hoe die valt bij een mens, zijn vormen en zijn bewegingen. Dan ga ik hiervoor iets creëren.

Kunst kan erg veel doen voor het Spinozaplantsoen. Het is zelfs erg belangrijk! Kunst maak je nooit alleen voor jezelf, je maakt het om het aan iemand te laten zien.
